CANCELLATION OF TENDER ON THE PROCUREMENT OF AUDITING FIRMS TO UNDERTAKE AUDITING ASSIGNMENTS-TEN LOTS

1216

As part of the process to recruit Auditing Firms with proven capabilities in Auditing of Public Sector Entities to work on behalf of the Auditor-General, the Audit Service applied and received approval from the Public Procurement Authority to use the restricted tendering method to request for proposals from shortlisted Firms.

It has, however, come to the attention of our Entity Tender Committee (ETC) that in the process of sending the Request for Proposals (RFP) to the shortlisted firms, errors were inadvertently made in the electronic mail addresses of some of them resulting in their failure to receive the RFP (Details attached). These anomalies denied the firms the opportunity to submit their proposals to enable them compete with others to undertake auditing assignments on behalf of the Auditor-General.
In view of the above, and in line with Section 28(A) 2(g) of the Public Procurement Act, 2003 (Act 663) as amended, the ETC has decided to cancel the attached ten (10) lots and re-start them again.
