MESSAGE FROM THE AUDITOR-GENERAL ON THE OCCASION OF MAY DAY 2020

565

I salute all of you for your dedication and commitment to the good work you are doing for God and Ghana.

Our struggle to ensure that the public purse is protected and the funds are used for the intended purposes and ensure value for money is critical now than before. To borrow from CHRAJ, not only are we fighting seeds of miseducation, corruption, indiscipline, lawlessness, dirty partisan politics, misinformation, disunity and instability, but we’re now confronted with COVID-19 pandemic that has put the nations of the world in pandemonium.

I am however confident that we will stand up to the challenges and discharge our duties to the full. I entreat all of you to take good care of yourselves, families and friends. Let us always remember these words in our national anthem “Hail to thy name, O Ghana,
To thee we make our solemn vow Steadfast to build together A nation strong in Unity;
With our gifts of mind and strength of arm,
Whether night or day, in the midst of storm,
In every need whate’er the call may be,
To serve thee, Ghana, now and evermore.

God bless you all.

Daniel Yaw Domelevo
Auditor-General of Ghana
